Nourma Junita Bachtiar
School Director & Co-Founder
Nourma is a parent, entrepreneur, and educator with a passion for Montessori. She joined Green Montessori School in 2011 to oversee its overall management and development. She is passionate about creating the modern and inspiring school through Green Montessori School, where it fits beautifully with her vision of future education. She is also part of the founding team to establish the three main school philosophies of Islamic Values, Montessori, and a Respect for Nature.
Expanding the school from only 3 students to 250 students within only few years has helped her to also realize that the core thing that parents are looking for a school is a nurturing environment and a devoted school team who care about their students as they are their own children. In Green Montessori School, she always feels blessed to be surrounded by people who are dedicated about early childhood education and willing to go the extra mile to transform the school from strength to strength throughout the years.
Preschool & Kindergarten Principal
Mita is an educator with long years of experience in early childhood programs. She started her career as a kindergarten teacher and coordinator in 2008, and since that, she knew that working in an educational institution will always be her passion. Prior to becoming a Pre & K Principal, Mita has also proven her dedication to supporting GMS students, families, teachers, and staff as Management Team for the past 6 years.
Mita is a dedicated lifelong learner, and her personal experiences have helped shape her education philosophy. She always believes that age 3 to 6 is an important stage for young children to explore the foundation of essential social, emotional, problem-solving, and study skills that they will use throughout their schooling and life. Mita is also grateful to have found such a wonderful and supportive community of parents and children at Green Montessori School.
Diana has more than 20 years of professional working experience with young children. After completing her bachelor and master degrees in Psychology, she immediately started her formal career as a teacher and learning facilitator for children aged 3-12 years old.
In 2009, she was introduced to Montessori Pedagogy and she fell in love with it right away. She agrees that education for Montessori students is not merely about preparing them for school, but also for life. She is also attracted to 'follow the child' philosophy in Montessori which she found to be in line with the 'fitrah' concept in Islam. She feels honored to be a principal in Green Montessori School where she hopes to inspire others with her passion in Montessori philosophy, green lifestyle, and Islamic Values. She envisions Green Montessori School as a school not only for students, but also for parents and teaching team to grow and learn together.
